Listed below is the step-by-step description of our application process.
STEP 1: Submit a pre-application during our open cycles. Early Wisdom Foundation, Inc. has three pre-applications cycles per year. The 2021 – 2022 cycle dates are listed below. If you are a new applicant, you may apply in any cycle. Please select the option that best matches your needed funding time frame. If you are a current grantee of Early Wisdom Foundation, select the cycle closest to your current approved application period.
• Cycle 1: Opens on June 1, 2022. Final deadline – July 1, 2022, 5:00 p.m.
• Cycle 2: Opens on Nov 1, 2022. Final deadline on Dec 1, 2022, 5:00 p.m.
• Cycle 3: Opens on April 1, 2023. Final deadline on May 1, 2023, 5:00 p.m.
If you submit your pre-application outside of these cycles, your application will be reviewed but will remain pending until the next cycle is opened.
STEP 2: Approximately 20 days after the pre-application window closes, applicants will be notified of their status. By email invitation to submit a full proposal; or an email decline letter).
STEP 3: For those applicants invited to submit a full proposal, you will receive instructions via email. Invited applicants will be notified of the full proposal's final deadline and will have at least one month from the date of notification to the submission deadline.
STEP 4: Once the full proposal is received, Early Wisdom Foundation Grant Team will assign your grant proposal to the relevant meeting agenda. At this stage, you will be able to access information about when you can expect to learn the final decision regarding your proposal. We respectfully request that you do not call or email to request status updates. We commit to communicating with you promptly once a decision has been made.
STEP 5: Applicants will receive notification of a decision shortly after the review meeting. At this time, organizations that have been awarded a grant will receive an electronic grant agreement for review and signature. Once the signed agreement is received, the Foundation will process the grant (typically within 30 days).
Please be advised: From start to finish, it may take as long as four months to receive final notification about your grant application. We are grateful for your patience. If your organization’s funding is needed by a certain date, we advise you to plan well in advance for your submission.
Note: Pre-Application word document is supplied for potential applicants to complete. You may compose your answers to the downloaded document if you wish or restate the questions on a separate document and email directly to admin@earlywisdomfoundation.org. The final submission of your answers must be emailed with the email subject caption initialing your organization’s legal name and the words “Grant Pre-Application.”

1. Does every organization have to do the pre-application? Yes
2. What requirement is needed to apply for grants? All organizations must be legally registered to apply for grants with the Early Wisdom Foundation. Academic Institutions and Orphanages located in destitute areas affected by poverty and lack of support may apply. Also, underprivileged, non-profit organizations may apply.
3. What applications work best for the pre-application? Microsoft Word.
4. How much time should I allow to fill out the pre-application? The typical time to complete is approximately one hour.
5. Can you print the pre-application beforehand? There is a link to download the Pre-application document for your use in drafting your responses. You will need to submit your final composed pre-application responses to admin@earlywisdomfoundation.org
6. What is the difference between generals operating funding and program funding? The general operating funding is a board-approved overall operating budget, whereas the program funding budget is for the specific program. We accept both types of requests. If you request funding for a specific project or program, you will be asked to provide additional details about that project and its budget.
7. Can I add a video, brochure, or weblink to the pre-application email? Yes, In the pre-application email, you have the option to attach one link. This may take any form you wish and is optional. Organizations that choose not to exercise this option will still receive the same consideration.
8. How long after I submit the pre-application will I get a decision? If you apply during the specified cycle times, you should receive a decision within approximately 20 days of the close date for the pre-application window. You will get an email with either an invitation to complete a full application or a declination.
9. Is there a feedback email if you are declined? Currently, we do not provide feedback with our declination letters. We will contact you if we have specific feedback that we can share. Applying grantees needing to submit reports can email all reports to admin@earlywisdomfoundation.org. Please add the Full name of the organization and “Grantee Report” in the subject box. General We strongly prefer that you remove Early Wisdom Foundation from your mass-mailing lists (both electronic and hard-copy). We respectfully request that you refrain from sending us any publications, newsletters; marketing collateral; event or gala invitations, as well as physical awards of gratitude for the Foundations giving. We will contact you if we wish to receive additional information about your organization.
NOT ALL ORGANIZATIONS CAN BE FUNDED. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the final approval of each grant. Currently, the Foundation receives funding request over it's ability to fund, only a small portion of requests can be approved at this time. A decision not to fund a proposal does not reflect on the applicant's merits or the proposal's value.

Grant Eligibility
1. What types of organizations may apply for a grant? Early Wisdom Foundation considers grant requests from underprivileged children, orphanages and academic institutions in need of financial assistance. As well as tax-exempt charitable organizations, such as legal 501(c)(3) and NGOs; on occasion, private businesses uplifting, influencing, and affecting impoverished communities positively may apply only when formal invitated in writting by Early Wisdom Foundation.
2. What types of grants does Early Wisdom Foundation support? Early Wisdom Foundation gives grants across a variety of different areas; all proposals submitted are considered. Non-profits, orphanages, and academic institutions make up 95% of our grantees.
The Early Wisdom Foundation does not make grants in support of fundraising and/or marketing events, grants intended directly or indirectly to support candidates for political office or influence legislation, or grants to cover past operating deficits or debt retirement.
3. What areas of the world does Early Wisdom Foundation support organizations? The Foundation considers organizations worldwide.
4. How often can my organization apply?
Once every 12 months, no matter the decision outcome. A report of outcomes and expenditures must be submitted for organizations that have received a previous grant before a new grant may be awarded.
5. If my organization has been declined, may I reapply? The Foundation will consider only one application from an organization within a 12-month period
Student academic Scholarships are allocated to the institutions of destitute students who are unable to afford and meet up with academic schooling due to lack of financial provision.
Students within the age range of 4-21 years of age may apply for scholarship.
